This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application Cine Filter (“the App”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use it. By using Cine Filter, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Who We Are
Cine Filter is an iOS application that helps users discover and filter movies. The App is operated by an independent developer reachable at customer_support_penvy.cc.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide When You Sign In
Cine Filter offers three sign-in options: Sign in with Google, Sign in with Apple, and Continue as Guest. Depending on the option you choose, we receive the following from your sign-in provider:
- Sign in with Google: your email address, full name, and Google account ID.
- Sign in with Apple: your name (if you choose to share it) and either your real email address or an Apple-provided private relay email address.
- Continue as Guest: we do not collect any personal identifiers; only an anonymous user ID is created.
Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication, a Google service. Each authenticated user is assigned a Firebase User ID (UID).
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the App, the following may be collected automatically:
- Device identifiers — including the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA), if you grant permission via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt, and the Firebase Installations ID used for app functionality.
- Device and usage data — device model, OS version, app version, language, time zone, and interactions within the App.
- Diagnostic data — crash reports and performance data to help us fix bugs.
- Approximate location — derived from IP address by our advertising partner to serve regionally relevant ads. We do not collect precise GPS location.
2.3 Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect your contacts, photos, microphone audio, precise location, health data, financial information, or messages.
3. How We Use Your Information

4. Third-Party Services We Use
4.1 Firebase (Google LLC)
We use Firebase Authentication to manage user accounts. Firebase may also collect device and diagnostic data. See Firebase’s Privacy Information.
4.2 Google AdMob
We display advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device’s IDFA, IP-derived approximate location, and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads. If you deny tracking permission, AdMob will only serve non-personalized advertisements. See Google’s Advertising Policy.
4.3 Sign in with Google & Sign in with Apple
Authentication providers (Google and Apple) handle the sign-in flow according to their own privacy policies: Google Privacy Policy and Apple Privacy Policy.
4.4 The Movie Database (TMDB)
Movie information, posters, and metadata in the App are retrieved from The Movie Database (TMDB). This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. We do not send your personal information to TMDB.
5. Apple’s App Tracking Transparency
On first launch, Cine Filter will request your permission to track activity across other companies’ apps and websites in order to serve personalized ads via Google AdMob. You can change this permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized.
6. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the third-party service providers listed in Section 4, who process it on our behalf to deliver authentication, advertising, and diagnostics.
We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of users or the public.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion or stop using the App, we delete your account data within 30 days. Anonymized usage and crash data may be retained longer for analytics purposes.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email customer_support_penvy.cc.
8.1 European Economic Area, UK, and Switzerland (GDPR)
If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, our legal bases for processing your data are: your consent (for advertising tracking), the performance of a contract (account features), and our legitimate interests (security, diagnostics, fraud prevention). You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8.2 California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)
California residents may request information about the categories of personal data we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To opt out of personalized advertising, decline tracking via the App Tracking Transparency prompt or in iOS Settings.
9. Account Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the App’s Settings screen, or by emailing customer_support_penvy.cc with the subject “Delete my account”. We will process the request within 30 days.
10. Children’s Privacy
Cine Filter is not directed to children under 13 (or under the age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where our service providers (Google, Firebase) operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses for cross-border transfers.
12. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and the security controls provided by Firebase. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted within the App.
