These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the AstroVeda — Planner & Meditation mobile application (“App”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

AstroVeda is a — Planner & Meditation application that calculates birth charts (Kundli) based on the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra (BPHS) tradition and provides interpretive readings using computational analysis. The App offers chart calculations, divisional charts, dasha timelines, yoga detection, compatibility matching, and question-based readings.

2. Entertainment and Educational Purpose

You acknowledge and agree that:

• Astrology is not a scientifically proven method of prediction
• Readings are generated by computational algorithms and should not substitute for professional consultation
• You will not make important life decisions (medical, financial, legal, or otherwise) based solely on readings from this App
• The developers and operators of this App are not responsible for any actions you take based on the readings provided

3. Accuracy of Calculations

The App uses Swiss Ephemeris–validated astronomical algorithms (JPL DE421) for planetary position calculations. While we strive for computational accuracy, we make no warranty that calculations are error-free. The accuracy of your birth chart depends on the accuracy of the birth details (date, time, and place) you provide.

4. User Accounts and Data

The App does not require account creation. Birth chart data is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for the accuracy of the birth details you enter. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.

5. In-App Purchases

The App offers premium features through in-app purchases (“Credits”) processed via Apple’s App Store:

• Credits: Used to access detailed interpretive readings for your chart questions
• Non-refundable: Credits are consumable digital goods and are non-refundable once purchased, except as required by applicable law or Apple’s refund policies
• No transfer: Credits cannot be transferred between devices unless using the same Apple ID, and cannot be exchanged for cash
• Price changes: We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time. Active credit balances will not be affected by price changes

All payment processing is handled by Apple. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information. For refund requests, please contact Apple Support directly.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
• Use the App to generate content that is harmful, threatening, abusive, or unlawful
• Attempt to bypass any security features or access restrictions
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to interact with the App
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the App’s readings or content
• Misrepresent App-generated readings as professional astrological consultation

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, algorithms, interpretations, graphics, and trademarks within the App are the property of Parashar Analytics and its licensors. The Vedic astrology methodologies implemented are based on classical texts in the public domain (primarily BPHS), but our specific computational implementations, scoring algorithms, and interpretive frameworks are proprietary.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without prior written consent.

8. Third-Party Services

The App relies on third-party services (Google Firebase, Anthropic Claude) for interpretation processing. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or performance of these third-party services. Temporary service interruptions may occur due to factors outside our control.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL Parashar Analytics, ITS DEVELOPERS, AFFILIATES, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

• Your use of or inability to use the App
• Any readings, predictions, or interpretations provided by the App
• Any decisions or actions you take based on information from the App
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR IN-APP PURCHASES IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Parashar Analytics and its developers from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to the App, other users, or third parties. You may terminate your use at any time by deleting the App from your device.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by posting the updated version within the App and on this page. The “Effective Date” at the top will be updated. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you disagree with any changes, discontinue use of the App.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.

15. Apple-Specific Terms

These Terms are between you and Parashar Analytics, not Apple Inc. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price (if any); Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App or your use of it. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
